Apple Orchard Mountain Homes, Inc. launches  ConservEnergy Diagnostics

ConservEnergy Diagnostics is announcing that it is open for business: assisting homeowners with detecting energy leakages in their homes with advanced technologies including infrared photography. ConservEnergy Diagnostics is a division of Apple Orchard Mountain Homes, Inc. founded by Rick Blair of Hiawassee.  Rick and his wife, Betty, moved from  Ft. Lauderdale, FL to Hiawassee in 2002 after owning a vacation home here since 1980.  They established a log and timber frame home business, representing Honest Abe Log Homes and Timberpeg. 

Rick initially became interested in infrared photography as a way of enhancing quality control in the construction of his client’s log homes, but soon realized there were other applications for this technology.  He expanded the use of the infrared camera to include infrared home energy audits for all types of homes, & added additional equipment such as blower door & duct blaster technologies. 

After an inspection of your home using these advanced technologies, Rick can quantify the “leakiness” of your home or ductwork, and then pinpoint  exactly where these leaks are.  He provides detailed reporting on all problem areas found, as well as cost effectiveness & payback period for any repair work the homeowner may choose to perform themselves or by other independent contractors in the community.
